“Dogs don’t need to be in a shelter, they need to do things.”
All of us have our own dreams, but they usually come later on in life, definitely not at the age of four.
However, Roman McConn is different, as he already started pursuing his dreams at the age of 4. With his mother Jennifer helping him, he started rescuing animals. Instead of toys for his 4th birthday, he asked his family and friends to donate the funds to a Texas-based animal rescue.
Fast-forward three years later. McConn has saved over 1,300 street dogs and 40 cats.
His mother runs a Facebook page, where she shares videos of him playing with shelter dogs. That way, they are helping to get the dogs adopted.
According to the shelter staff, Roman is a real-life “dog whisperer.”
Roman tries to help the animals that are most in need, like the ones enlisted for euthanasia in shelters.
His mother records a video every time he plays with a homeless dog or a cat and then posts it on their Facebook page to help them get adopted.
